oOne reader’s question really got Estherline excited this afternoon. The recent insults (probably not the last) that Donald Trump spit out toward Haiti was very offensive. That’s the biggest topic of conversation lately around our neighborhood. Here is an example of how you can assure your Haitian friends that Trump’s statements are not cool with you (or most Americans).
How do you say I’m sorry for our president and what he said?
Mwen vrèman dezole e mwen mande padon pou tout mal bagay Trump te di sou Ayiti ,
I am very sorry and I ask forgiveness for all the bad things Trump said about Haiti.
Ayiti dwe sonje sa moun Amerik vrèman renmen Ayiti
Haiti should remember that all the people of America very much love Haiti.

I want to say this — one Haitian who is with one American, everything that Trump said can’t never destroy your relationship, because Trump is only crazy. He says everything he wants. But in a relationship an American shouldn’t be angry or a Haitian be angry at an American. All people need to put their heads together pou they live well. I know the American people love Haiti. Bye. I love you!
Good afternoon all our fans and visitors. We are very happy because you always ask more questions. This is good. I’m making this message for you to understand that Haitians don’t have a problem with you for things Trump said. I know that when people are angry they say everything they want to say. But Haitians understand Donald Trump is very crazy so there are no Haitians who have a problem with a whole other country for that.
