Estherline’s Story: From Haiti Orphanage to Homeless Child to Helping Others

Etherline has a heart to help the children of Haiti. Below you can hear the reason’s why in her own voice. After losing her father, she suffered in a corrupt Haitian orphanage. She escaped only to find herself living on the street. She later found herself in an abusive relationship and was left a single mother. Only after God brought help into her life did things start to move the right direction. Her passion is to give back to the many children who are suffering in the same situations she experienced.

This is my life: I don’t have a father, I only have a mother but I was very poor. My father died and didn’t leave anything for us to live, or for our mom to give us an education.

I was put in an orphanage, but they didn’t really take care of us, they only used us to make money, they didn’t give us enough food, but I escaped.

men mwen te viv nan lari paske mwen pat gen yon fanmi pou ankadre nou ,mwen te leve site solèy ,mwen te lite pa janm fè anyen mal paske mwen te kwè yon jou map lite pou timoun tankou ki nan lari ki pa gen paran

But I lived in the street because I didn’t have one family to care for us, I grew up in City Soley, I made an effort to never do anything bad because I believed that one day I could struggle to help the children in the street who didn’t have parents.

When I was 16 years old, a guy who was 26 years old promised to help me, but he only wasted me and abused me, he gave me a child, I was not discouraged but struggled to go to school but I never had a house or a family to take care of me.

In 2015, I found one foreigner who is named Tony. He is a brave man that helped me, took care of me, paid for my house, paid for my school, paid for my child’s school, after all that we fell in love.

Everyone needs a person who they can count on, but now if you can hear me and see me it’s only the grace of God working through Tony that I give thanks. I will never allow anyone to hurt him because he saved my life and saved the lives of many children, we are fighting together to provide for many children.
