Haitian Creole Bibles Online (Free)

There are some great resources online for reading and even listening to the Haitian Creole Bible. We’ll keep this page updated as we find new ones to share. Don’t forget you can ask us for specific pronunciations of any Bible verse (or phrase you need to say in Creole). For example we record John 3:16 and the Four Spiritual Laws in Creole.

Bible Gateway – You can setup a side by side (parallel translation) of Creole and English Bibles.

Fouye Bible is a simple to use website that offers the Bible in English, French, and Creole. If you click on a specific verse it gives you all three languages on one page. (example)

Talking Bibles – You can listen to the New Testament read aloud in Creole. This is a great way to practice hearing the language as you follow along with the scripture text.

“Bib la” is the Haitian Creole name for the Christian Bible.

Which Bible translations is most common in Haiti?

The HCV (Haitian Creole Version) is a widely used translation in Protestant Churches. While most traditional and sometimes Catholic churches will use a French translation.

Where can I buy printed Creole Bibles?

You can purchase printed editions of the Haitian Creole Bible almost everywhere in Haiti. If you are in the United States you can find them on Amazon or from specialized mission publishers.
