May 2018 Food Distribution

After a few months of delay, we completed our second service project in the mountains above Jacmel. Click here to see many of the pictures from this wonderful event. Remember our group “Ansanm Nou Fo”  is 100% led by young Haitians who want help children who are in need.

Once again we distributed enough food for each family to prepare two meals. These bags were assembled in our office in Carrefour before we drove 2 hours into the mountains. Here are the specifics of the project:

  • 44 children served
  • 7 volunteers led the project
  • 25000 gourde budget ($403 US)
  • near Decouze, on Route National #2

The delay between projects was due to complicated paperwork. Our team decided we should pursue legal status for our project in the local area. This would prevent any problems if someone wanted to make false claims about our group.
