How to say “The Rapture” in Creole?

This is another great question from our ASK ANYTHING page.

There isn’t a direct word for “The Rapture” in Creole. If you use the French equivalent it would be very confusing, because that means kidnapping to most Haitians.

But Haitians are very familiar with the idea of the rapture, so we put together some phrases to help you find the right vocabulary to explain. I hope this helps!
