This is another common way to ask a person how are you, but it could also serve to ask about the status of a project or the general situation of a group of people. The frequent response is the same words, simply without the voice inflection to mean “Everything is good.”

Some possible responses:

  • Mwen anfòm (I’m good)
  • Mwen pa two byen (I’m not too good)
  • Mwen mal (I’m not good)
  • Pa gen pwoblem (No problems)

Literal Meaning

Tout – Every
bagay – thing
anfòm? – good (in shape)
